Rosebud Centre of the Arts is Alberta’s largest rural performing arts centre, comprised of Rosebud Theatre, Rosebud School of the Arts and the Rosebud Haskayne-Kenney Mercantile. It is located in the hamlet of Rosebud, an hour’s drive NE of Calgary or 30 min. SW of Drumheller. This summer, Rosebud Theatre will present 6 shows per week of The Spitfire Grill to a maximum capacity of 232 dinner/theatre guests each performance, as well as performances of An Almost Holy Picture on our BMO Studio Stage. Maintenance Worker – 16 weeks $14/hr
The student shall support the work of caretaking all facilities, grounds-keeping, maintaining a safe workplace, painting, construction, and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Demonstrated strong organizational and communication skills, trade skills, team player, independent worker and enthusiasm for supporting the arts.
Guest Services Associate – 16 weeks $14.50/hr
The student shall support RCA in a variety of areas as needed: Box office, front of house, bus greeter; Marketing and Development; Hospitality division; and administration support for Rosebud School of the Arts’ summer camp.
Qualifications: a definite passion for the performing arts and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction; demonstrated strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills; pleasant telephone manner; computer literacy; team player and independent worker; and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Hospitality Worker – 16 weeks $14/hr
The student will be supporting our Hospitality division in the areas of prep cook, dishwasher, and server for dinner/theatre guests each performance.
The ideal candidate will have a definite passion for the performing arts and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Additional qualifications include demonstrated strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills; team player and independent worker; and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
Eligible student applicants must be between the ages of 15 and 30 and registered as a full-time student during the preceding academic year and intending to return to school on a full-time basis the next academic year. Foreign students are not eligible. Priority will be given to Aboriginal students and students who are members of a visible minority.
